I'm so sad about this, though at least unlike Anthony Bourdain, the circumstances of his death weren't horrifically tragic. Premature, yes, but there are worse ways to go than after a comparatively brief illness.

Before Counter Intelligence came out, I used to clip his columns and keep them in a folder. I went to so many great restaurants and so many areas I otherwise never would have gone to because of him.
