As soon as I posted that, I had a feeling you would comment on that aspect of it. I forgot about the distinction between regular Tokyo trains, and Tokyo bullet trains. (I am very attached to the idea of bullet trains because I wish we had them here.) BART is notorious for train delays, especially in weather that is even slight wet. It is tremendously irritating, since my commute is an hour long, and I start and leave work at the same time everyone else does.
