i was lying (they came from france). but after reading your post i decided to check it out on the internet.
seems that... germans love to decorate their gardens with things. crazy PLASTIC things. theyll do things like stick huge plastic bees all over their garden or big furry kitten-cutouts on wooden sticks or something.
i dunno if that explains the reference, but hahahaha its interesting to know.
