Recommended - Cute Overload for pet costumes!

I have a test next week; I haven't felt much like writing lately and even I, Internet junkie extraordinaire that I am, get bored with it. Any more writing here will be done after Thursday.

The costs of the wedding are starting to freak me out, and I haven't even bought anything except magazines. We are doing a regular American-style wedding, but hopefully with some of our cultural stuff thrown in. I keep telling people I want to do a modified tea ceremony, and they're all "but that's not the way it's done!" No, it's not. That's why I'm calling it "modified". For the record, my mom is okay with what I want to do as long as it's what's Mark's mom wants to do.

The Crafty Revolution - my latest eHub Feature.

Did anyone feel the quake yesterday? Did you see the headlines on the newspaper? "Scary 5.6 Quake Rocks Bay Area". Scary? Are you kidding me? We didn't even know it was a quake for most of it.

Also, someone please tell me if Halloween happened in the Castro. Did they put portable toilets out? I told Mark about how they weren't going to put toilets out and he said, "That's the most passive-aggressive thing I've ever heard. I had no idea you could do that."

In other funny things, I created a music feed of newest album releases by Mark's favorite artists (in case you're wondering, his favorite artists include but are not limited to Kraftwerk, David Bowie, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, DJ Spooky and Skinny Puppy) and told him about it. He said, "Great, you'll have to teach me how to use the feed reader." He's also the only nerd I know who doesn't know how to use Bittorrent. (Not that I've bothered learning, either.)

It is the season for brussels sprouts! I think most people who hate them never had them roasted. This is what you need to do  - take a bunch of brussels sprouts, wash, clean, and remove the first layer of leaves or anything that looks old. Preheat your oven to 475 degrees. Cut your brussels sprouts in half, toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder. Place brussels sprouts with the cut half down on a flat pan or sheet. You can cover it with foil if you want easier cleaning. Stick it in the oven and roast for about 15 minutes, or until slight brown. This is adapted from Fine Cooking magazine.

It's yummy! Not bitter at all.

Good luck to NaNoWriMo participants!
