- Verdant Computing is an environmentally-friendly computer company.
- Here's a list of "social ride-sharing" sites. (Hmm, we used to do this in college, but in a much more inefficient manner. People wrote stuff on cards and put them up in a certain location, hoping someone would see it.)
- FoodBlogSearch helps you search for recipes on food blogs.
- I thought this was neat. Martin Luther King, Jr. talked Nichelle Nichols out of quitting "Star Trek".
- Edison Chen t-shirts now available! Man, what took them so long?
- Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has a blog. LAist interviews him.
- Many kids who qualify for free lunch don't get it because they don't want to stick out. I didn't remember it being a big deal in elementary school, but my sister and I often skipped lunch in middle and high school, due to the fact that overcrowding meant that by the time you got to the front of the line, lunch was over. I forget if we still qualified for a reduced lunch by that time. Probably not.
