 This pandemic is a creature of capitalist globalisation, not any single country. ‘Chinese culture’ is a convenient scapegoat - argued with a Chinese friend about why we shouldn't call it the Chinese virus the other day, but honestly, this is a better argument that goes beyond my kneejerk defensiveness.
