I just called a vendor - the florist - and she told me it would be cheaper to do it myself. Like, she actually advised me to go down to Walmart and get some decorations from there or something.
No I totally wasn't asking anything. I said, "Hi, my name is Kim and I'd like to find out about what you have." She asked me what I liked and we had a short conversation where she told me about what other brides did and how they did it themselves a lot of times and told me to look around. And then she said, "Ok, thanks for calling" and hung up, which makes me wonder if she's related to one of my relatives.
I didn't get a quote, but I remember saying something about table arrangements (we're going to be on a yacht for the reception) and I think that's what started it.
