toastykittenI got an email from Don Perata saying that "The Senate passed Assemblyman Mark Leno’s AB 849 by a 21-13 margin. This vote marks the first time a legislative body in this country passed legislation to legalize gay marriage without court intervention.
I am proud of my Senate colleagues for upholding the virtues of equality that are the foundations of our country. I hope our counterparts in the Assembly will vote for this measure as well. Please email your representative in the Assembly to encourage their support of AB 849. You can find your Assembly representative by visiting the Assembly website at http://www.assembly.ca.gov."
I have not seen coverage of this anywhere else, and Google turns up nothing but an earlier vote.
