New LJ Community - reading_genji - I am so glad that this now exists, because I quit reading around chapter five, after many mentions of the perfect Genji's sleeping around with anything that moves, and the last straw was when he hit on a ten-year-old girl, everyone tells him he should wait until she hits puberty at least, and then he kidnaps her so that he can raise her to be the perfect woman. First novel or not, classic literature or not, I have my limits. Now, maybe I'll be able to go back and be traumatized again with other readers.
