toastykittenInto the Badlands is kind of a condensed Game of Thrones with worse writing but gorgeous cinematography you can actually see, prettier people, and martial arts instead of dragons.
I'm really watching it only for the martial arts scenes which are coordinated by HK stunt veterans. Like, if you were baffled by the terrible Iron Fist fight scenes, everyone in these scenes look like they're capable of doing the stunts and move way more fluidly like they've actually been training. Lewis Tan is in season 3.
Also the female characters are more complex than I would normally expect.
