Is still incredibly dumb. 

There is one scene where the former triad boss character explains racist Oregon history to a racist white lady waitress, and it just goes on and on and on that I got bored and fast-forwarded through it, including the inevitable fight scene. And the thing is, the cast is soooo proud of it. Just no. It's not that groundbreaking, and there's more interesting ways of incorporating the history of anti-Asian racism in your show. 

If you need to make a point about racism, don't use an anvil, and don't be long-winded. Just get to the point. 

I still need to finish it because I need to see how this ends. 


Also, today I read that they are going to make a reboot of Saved By The Bell, and this is the plot: When California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the highest performing schools in the state – including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the over privileged Bayside kids a much needed and hilarious dose of reality.

So I guess they're leaning into the whole Zack Morris is trash thing, then. Also are they basing adult Zack Morris on Gavin Newsom? I buy it. 

I really wanted to like this. But the writing is so bad. And cliche. It's also not as fun as it should be.

Maybe I'll suck it up and watch the rest.
